• Armed Robbery in Parking Lot in Monterey

    On November 9, 2015 at approximately 8:39 PM, Monterey Police Officers responded to an armed robbery in the parking lot at Via Paraiso Park (near Via Paraiso and Via Gayuba). Three victims reported they were in their vehicle when five suspects approached them and demanded their personal property. Several of the suspects were armed with handguns. After the suspects took property from the victims, they fled through the wooded area of the park toward Martin Street. The victims were not injured.

    The following is a description of the five suspects:

    Suspect 1: Black male, age 17-20, 5’-8”, thin build, wearing a dark shirt, and a bandana over his face.

    Suspect 2: Black male, age 17-20, 5’-10”, thin build, wearing glasses, dark sweatshirt and dark jeans.

    Suspect 3: White male, age 16-21, 5’-7”, thin build, wearing dark beanie, dark jeans.

    Suspect 4: Black male, age 16-21, 6 ‘-0”, medium build, wearing a jacket, and a bandana over his face.

    Suspect 5: Hispanic female, age 17-20, 5’-2”, heavyset, brown hair, light sweatshirt.
