• Boys’ Basketball Team Falls to Monterey

    Coming off a big win on Friday night against Soledad, Pacific Grove fell to Monterey in a non-conference game Saturday night 56-47 [1-17-15].

    After leading 14-10 at the end of the first quarter, the Breakers were not able to overcome a second quarter in which they gave up 16 points and only scored 2.

    The Toreadors came into the game on a two game losing streak, but they only needed six players to score, with three of them scoring in double digits. The Toreadors also made eight 3-pointers and went 16 of 28 from the free throw line.

    Brad Sendell led Pacific Grove with 17 points, while Zack Miller chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds in the Breakers loss.

    Pacific Grove (8-5, 3-1) will next play on the road at Stevenson (7-5, 2-2) on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.
