• Breaker boys soccer takes the win in first league game: Now ranked #3

Pacific Grove Breaker boys soccer team was hosted by Anzar Fri. Jan. 6 in a Varsity only game. PG started off with a great hustle from the PG forwards, Alex Chung and Luca Talone, which resulted in a goal within the first minute of play. The Breakers went on to win 6-0 with two goals each from Luca Talone and Jordan Jones and one added by defender Daniel Giovinazzo and an “own goal” by Anzar forced by PG’s Elmer Santos. Alex Chung assisted in three goals, Luca Talone and Callum Gilcrist with one each.

This is the first league game for the Breakers, who have been ranked third in the CCS for the first time in history. PG Breakers play Soledad, away next Wednesday and a favorite game against rivals Carmel next Friday night at Breaker stadium.

Great write-up on Daniel Giovinazzo in the Salinas California, BTW!

This is the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card for Monterey Peninsula beaches, which reports water quality grades, or when relevant, weather advisories. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm. Click here for more information on the Beach Report Card. Click the name of the beach when it pops up for more details, or choose a beach below.
