• Fire update last week

    Structure Fire – On July 7, 2018, at 6:50 a.m., Monterey Fire Department personnel responded to a structure fire at 831 Marino Pines, Pacific Grove. Engine 14 arrived on scene of a single story family dwelling that was under construction and reported to be unoccupied. Light smoke was showing from the eave vents. There was dense smoke from floor to ceiling throughout the house. Engine 14 forced entry and located the fire in the bedroom. The fire was contained within a small are of the bedroom and burned a hole in the floor. Quick response times contributed to the fire being extinguished quickly. A Fire Investigator was dispatched to the scene to assess the damage and determine the cause of the fire.

    Auto Aid to Pebble Beach for Vegetation Fire – July 9, 2018, Monterey Fire Department Engine 14 was first on scene to a vegetation fire at Congress and Chaparral in Pebble Beach. Engine 14’s crew along with Cal Fire extinguished a half acre fire before it could grow and threaten structures.
