• Local Coastal Plan Update

    On June 16 the City of Pacific Grove Planning Commission will discuss the Implementation Plan dated June 1, 2016 and a recommendation to Council.  A Special Planning Commission meeting the week of June 20, 2016 may also be considered. Council will continue the item from June 15 to a Special Meeting on June 29.Implementation Plan considerations for Planning Commission include:

    • Document organization;
    • Coastal Development Permit procedures;
    • Commercial-Visitor Zoning District Height Limits;
    • American Tin Cannery Zoning Floor Area Ratio;
    • Density Standards for Visitor-Serving Parcels.

    This is the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card for Monterey Peninsula beaches, which reports water quality grades, or when relevant, weather advisories. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm.
