• Monterey Fire Storm Statistics as of 12-12-14

    Monterey Fire Department personnel responded to a total of 62 incidents: Carmel-by-the-Sea (14), Monterey (27), Monterey Airport (1), Pacific Grove (16), Presidio of Monterey (1) and Sand City (3). Gusts of winds reaching up to 50 miles per hour toppled trees into power lines, causing power outages for more than 4,000 customers on the Monterey Peninsula as well as starting the trees on fire. According to a Weather Underground source, Monterey received 3.64 inches of rain yesterday.
