• Traffic Stop in Carmel Results in Drug Charges

    On 2/25/15, sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at Highway 1 and Ocean in Carmel, on the suspect for minor traffic violations. The vehicle the suspect was driving was a reported stolen vehicle. The suspect, Casey Lee Kenyon, 23, of no known address, was found to be on felony probation and out on bail pending felony charges. A search of the vehicle was conducted and he was found to be in possession of burglary tools. He was arrested and taken to the county jail. During a search of the suspect’s person, Deputies found methamphetamine hidden in the suspect’s crotch area.
